O’Connor Insurance was established in 1989 by Ellen A. O’Connor, the founder and president. Ellen had been an Allstate Insurance Company Employee for ten years starting in the claims department and moving into operations prior to being a bodily injury specialist for five years.
In the Bodily Injury Department Ellen’s area of specialty became settling serious injury cases and determining the settlement value of scarring cases. Ellen then moved into Allstate Insurance Company’s sales department as one of only two saleswomen in the State of Massachusetts. It then became clear that dealing one-on-one with people and advising and counseling them about Insurance coverages, policies, exclusions and needs, was the area of Insurance Ellen would pursue for the remainder of her career.
The many years of working in the claims and operations departments allowed Ellen to truly have a full and complete understanding of Insurance and how it relates to people’s everyday lives. A claim involving injuries has the ability to change a persons life forever. Any claim at all is, at the very least, a major inconvenience.
After being an Allstate Sales Agent, where Ellen won numerous awards for her sales abilities and insurance expertise, the Allstate Insurance Company left the State of Massachusetts entirely and Ellen O’Connor established her own agency.
Today, the O’Connor Insurance Agency remains an agency that offers personal attention, personal service and one that offers dozens of At rated insurance companies to choose from.
